NXT Takeover 2 is the next major two-hour event coming up this Thursday, live on the WWE Network. Three championships will be defended, and somebody is getting their hair shaved off. Adrian Neville will put the NXT Championship on the line against Tyson Kidd, Sami Zayn and Tyler Breeze in an epic 4-way match. Charlotte will also lock up with Bayley, Kalisto and Sin Cara will face The Ascension for the NXT Tag Team Championship, and international star KENTA will make his debut.

WWE invited NFL star Michael Sam to Monday Night Raw this coming week, even going so far as to have Stephanie McMahon write him an “open invitation”. You know, as apposed to those closed invitations. However, Sam will not be able to attend – and didn’t even bother responding – as he’s expected to sign with the Dallas Cowboys. WWE then took down all mention of him from their website, and booked Jerry Springer for Raw instead.
CM punk had his lawyers send the WWE a 22-page letter, as he’ll be looking for royalties owed to him from the WWE 2K15 video game. Punk is one of the four major story mode characters in the game. Somewhat ironically, this may be the first contact anyone from Punk’s “camp” has had with WWE since he left in January.
Alberto del Rio is free and clear to return to professional wrestling, as his non-compete contract with WWE was thrown out. He will also be reunited with Ricardo Rodriguez in AAA in the near future. His in-ring return has been confirmed.
The next season of Total Divas is starting tonight (Sunday), and one of the primary stories is that Rosa Mendes – who took a bunch of time off last year and the year before – is being met with hostility from the rest of the Divas.
