Former ROH Champ Taking Time Off
Matt Taven, a former Ring of Honor World TV Champion, has confirmed via Twitter that he has opted not to sign a new contract with the company, and will be taking some time away.
Hey guys just wanted you to hear this from me. I’ve decided not to re-sign my contract with @ringofhonor and part ways for the time being.

Taven was the longest reigning champion of the belt’s history. He has been employed with Ring of Honor since 2010, but his career really took off when he won the Top Prospects Tournament last year; a tournament that included some of today’s biggest up-and-coming stars, including ACH, TaDarius Thomas, Silas Young and Adam Page.
KILLAM: That’s a real shame to hear. I wasn’t always a Taven fan, but his semi-recent babyface turn peaked my interest, and I’ve got to say he’s been really impressive in 2014. His feud with Jay Lethal has produced some of the best highlights of the year. I hope he can find success wherever he decides to go next.
