Backstage Details on Recent NXT Talent Release
Regarding the recent release of Shaun “Slate Randall” Ricker, The Wrestling Observer is reporting his release from NXT was different from others in that it likely had little to do with budget cuts.
It’s being said Randall had the charisma WWE was looking for, and was progressing better, by far, than any of the other recently released NXT talents. However, his use of social media, along with an email he sent during his time with the company, is likely what caused his release. While the exact details of the email were not disclosed, it was said to have “buried” Ricker in WWE, and officials were also not pleased with several posts he made on his Twitter account.
Main Event Time Change
WWE Main Event will be taking over the NXT time slot on SportsNet360 in Canada beginning tomorrow night. The show will air at 8pm with a 7pm replay on Friday nights. NXT and WWE Vintage Collection have been dropped from SportsNet360.
Canadian WWE Network Dismay
SLAM! Wrestling has picked up on the unhappiness many Canadian fans are experiencing with WWE Network only being available to Rogers subscribers.
As we noted following the international launch yesterday, many Canadian fans wrote into the site noting even if they wanted to subscribe to Rogers it’s not available in their area so they have no way of accessing the WWE Network.
