Former WrestleMania Arena Set for Demolition
According to a new report by the Houston Chronicle, there is a $66 million plan in place to demolish the Astrodome, and replace it with a new “green space” that will honor the legendary arena. The Astrodome was host to WrestleMania X-Seven in 2001, when the WWF packed nearly 68,000 people into the arena to watch “Stone Cold” Steve Austin battle The Rock for the WWF Championship.
The building has sat vacant for several years, and with the construction of NRG Stadium (formerly Reliant Stadium) the city is looking to turn it into a more useful piece of land.

KILLAM: For the record, the big 7/14 announcement probably ISN’T that Sting – at 55-years-old – will be the next member of the Bullet Club.
