John Cena won the Money in the Bank ladder match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tonight, live on pay-per-view.
Cena is now a 15-time world champion in WWE. During the match, he survived Randy Orton, Kane, Roman Reigns, Cesaro, Bray Wyatt, Alberto del Rio and Sheamus to climb the ladder and retrieve the title belt.
Although the immediate future for Cena's 15th reign is uncertain, the latest rumor is that he will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Brock Lesnar at the August SummerSlam PPV.
