PWInsider.com is reporting that Josh Matthews – who was just released from his WWE contract TODAY – is backstage at the TNA television taping in New York City.
It's possible that Matthews was meeting with TNA officials about a potential position with the company, but at this point it's too early to tell. Since Josh is from New Jersey and still lives in the area, it's also possible he was just using his new-found free time to hang out with old friends. Many former WWE Superstars and other personalities are currently working for TNA, many or all of which he's worked with in the past.
As Josh Matthews was employed with WWE since 2002, that list includes Bully Ray and Devon, Brooke Tessmacher, Matt and Jeff Hardy, Christy Hemme, Ethan Carter III, Gail Kim, Taz, Kurt Angle, Bobby Lashley, Ken Anderson, MVP, Taryn Terrell, and several others.
