Earlier today, we posted a Wrestling Observer report noting TNA and Davey Richards recently reached out to top ROH names, notably Kyle O'Reilly, Bobby Fish and Jay Lethal. All three are under contract to ROH, and are therefore unable to negotiate any terms with TNA at the moment.
The Observer report also noted sources within TNA claimed Richards was "going rogue," so to speak, and acted independently of TNA when reaching out to talent, however, sources close to the situation have informed WZ that's not entirely the case.
We were told TNA management absolutely has been part of the recruitment effort of ROH talent, and as opposed to it being a contractual issue, both ReDRagon and Jay Lethal simply had no interest in working for TNA.
Former WWE creative writer Court Bauer spoke more on the situation in his latest podcast with Konnan, which you can check out at MLWRadio.com. During the podcast, Bauer confirmed TNA's attempted "raid" of ROH talent prior to its Slammiversary PPV this weekend, and noted TNA officials had in fact reached out to talents within ROH.
