Shawn Michaels comes out and says it wasn't long ago that he trained Daniel Bryan, and he likes Bryan, but he's never liked Randy Orton. He says Triple H is still his best friend and there may be some confusion, but he is there to make sure there's a new WWE Champion. Shawn says he was in the first Hell In A Cell match in this building, and he's been through it all so he knows what to expect. Shawn says what happened at the last two pay-per-views was a crock, so he is there to guarantee that it will not happen again, and they will get a winner. Randy Orton cuts him off and says Shawn resents him for being better, but Shawn says he should worry about Bryan instead of him.
Orton says he is going to destroy Bryan and hurt him, and Shawn will just stand there and watch before he counts a pinfall, and he will enjoy it all. Orton says Shawn is no stranger to screw jobs, but he is warning him that if anything happens he is going to make him pay, and Orton asks him if they are clear. Shawn says Orton shouldn't intimidate the referee for his match, and he could threaten him right now, but he'll kick his head off. Shawn says if he's not down with that, he's got two words for him, then Shawn goes to walk away but Orton grabs him and goes for a RKO. Shawn shoves him back and attempts Sweet Chin Music, but Orton escapes and rolls outside, only to get attacked by Miz and thrown into the barricade. Miz hits him a few times until a group of referees break it up, then he jumps in the ring and calls for Orton to get back up.
Randy Orton vs The Miz
Orton sends Miz into the corner but Miz knees him in the face, then Orton kicks him back and clotheslines him before Miz fires right back with some punches. Miz clotheslines him outside and goes for a dropkick, but Orton sidesteps it and clotheslines him before applying a side headlock. Miz elbows out and whips him, but Orton throws him outside and sets up a hangman's DDT on the barricade, only Miz counters and throws him into the ringpost. They go back inside and Miz connects with a kneelift and a thrust kick, then he hits a corner clothesline before he catches Orton with a double axe handle smash. Miz calls for a Skull Crushing Finale but Orton counters, then Miz charges him in the corner and goes for a Figure Four. Before he can lock it in the lights go out and the Wyatts appear, and Orton uses the distraction to hit a RKO for the win.
