As we reported earlier today, both WWE NXT stars Derrick Bateman and Briley Pierce have been released from their contracts, effective immediately.
WWE is preparing to move into their new, state of the art developmental training center in Orlando, and more big changes are expected to be made to the roster and staff before the facility officially opens this summer. While that will most likely include more releases, there have been numerous reports recently that several NXT Superstars are very close to being moved up to the active WWE roster, including Bray Wyatt, Adrian Neville, and Corey Graves.
Furthermore, there have been unconfirmed reports going around, stating that WWE is looking into hiring a new batch of NXT Superstars for the training center, increasing their roster and bringing in fresh faces.
It is not uncommon for WWE to make big roster cuts and changes to the product after WrestleMania, and the event has been infamously referred to as "Black Friday". Stay tuned to Wrestlezone.com for the latest on released NXT Superstars.
