Although we have received plenty of negative reports from this past weekend's WrestleMania, Hall of Fame and Fan AXXESS events, a Wrestlezone reader by the name of Tyler has sent in his report to express a positive experience had during WrestleMania weekend.
Having attended WrestleMania AXXESS this weekend, I can agree with some points made by other contributors, but I really found it an amazing, enjoyable experience. I was very excited about having the chance to go to AXXESS and participate in all the weekend festivities. As this was my second WrestleMania, when I attended WrestleMania XX, it wasn't half of the extravaganza that it is today.
I attend 3 different sessions of AXXESS because I really couldn't get enough. I got to meet everyone who I wanted. Granted I waited some time for each of them I did get to see everyone I wanted. And I'm not talking "D list" people… I met Jack Swagger, Zeb Colter, Dolph, AJ, Big E, Fandango, Brodus/Funkadactyls, Vickie Guerrero, JBL, The Bella Twins, and more! In the 4 hours you had at Axxess, I got to meet at least two per session, and still have time to do all the other exhibits and stuff. It was all about timing! You needed to see who was where, and get there! They did tell you actually in the arena who was where by putting their name and Twitter name, so to say you didn't know who was where, and didn't want to make a lap around the arena, you could have walked into the arena and looked up.
I agree with the previous post about the handicapped axxess. I have nothing against any handicap, I have two autistic brother's myself, but it was simply people just placed in a wheelchair. Had I know, I would of brought a wheelchair and put my father in it and get to skip every line. Instead they got to cut the line, spend extra time with them, do whatever they wanted. That really wasn't fair, and delayed you from meeting the wrestlers, but that was really it.
If you had a poor experience once, you should not conclude that was what will always happen. I went to Saturday and Sunday morning sessions, both began at 8 A.M. so no one wanted to get up that early and go to them, so they were fairly empty. You really got to do everything, and really enjoy all that was available to offer.
WrestleMania itself, was a great experience too. I had really great seats, Section 2 on the floor. You could see everything, as long as you stood on your chair like everyone else. People stood on their chairs the entire show, and event staff never told anyone to get down. Any other wrestling events I've been to, they ALWAYS make you sit down. As long as you stood, it was fine. Additionally, the pyro that they used often times came soaring into the audience. By the end of the night, we were covered in soot, and even quite a few people got burnt. I understand the wind may of had an influence since it was outdoors and all, but people were getting legitimately burned pretty badly. The people seated around us were great! We really had an amazing time, and worth the $500 a ticket to sit on the floor.
