WWE Monday Night Raw
March 18, 2013
John Cena opens tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw, rocking a brand new bright yellow shirt, receiving a generally positive reaction from the WWE Universe.
Cena begins to put over WrestleMania and his match with the Rock, but he is quickly interrupted by the Prime Time Players. Or rather, Darren Young and Uncle Pancake Patterson (Titus O'Neil in an afro wig and overalls). They talk about Cena being on the cover of Fruity Pebbles, meaning Young should be on the cover of Cocoa Pebbles – or rather, Prime Time Pebbles.
John Cena vs. Darren Young
Cena gets a bulldog and immediately goes for the STF, but O'Neil Pancake Patterson pulls him from the ring as we go to our first commercial break. When we come back, Cena gets the Five Knuckle Shuffle followed by the Attitude Adjustment and the 1-2-3.
Results: John Cena wins via pinfall
The Undertaker "returns" tonight.
WWE rolls footage of the tension brewing between Ryback and Mark Henry, which sets up our next match.
Ryback vs. David Otunga
Ryback lifts Otunga up into the air and powerslams into the corner, firing away at him while the referee pleads for him to stop. Ryback runs into a kick to the face from Otunga, but counters immediately with a sidewalk slam. The Meathook Clothesline connects, followed by Shellshock for 1-2-3.
Results: Ryback wins via pinfall
After the match, Ryback confirms his match with the Shield at WrestleMania and announces his partners as Randy Orton and Sheamus. He tells Mark Henry not to get in his way, and starts a "feed me more" chant before the World's Strongest Man cuts him off. Both Teddy Long and Vickie Guerrero cut him off on the entrance ramp. Vickie tells Ryback that he's been taken out of WrestleMania's 6-man tag match, and instead put into singles competition with Mark Henry. The crowd is hot for that announcement, and Ryback hits another Shellshock on David Otunga to further establish his dominance.
