As I reported earlier this week, WWE sent Orlando, FL a request to bid on WrestleMania 31 or WrestleMania 32. It's now being reported that Detroit, Michigan has been sent a similar proposal allowing them the same opportunity to host the mega-events.
The event would take place at Ford Field in Detroit, which hosted WrestleMania 23 in 2007. Detroit's neighboring city of Windsor, Canada is also seeking investment if Detroit does become the host city. Windsor is only about 15 minutes from Detroit and they gained $624,000 in revenue on a $60,000 investment when Mania was there in '07.
