The widow of late WWE referee Dick Woehrle recently spoke out about his career. On the subject of his getting into the wrestling business, Judi said, “He got the call to do the wrestling match at a CYO in Scranton, and he told them ‘I never did that,’ but they said you’re a referee, you’ll be able to handle it.”
Judi also spoke about Woehrle’s favorite types of matches. “He always liked working with the girls or the midgets because he could get involved a little more,” she said. “He’d always wind up with a midget pinning him or girls put a figure-four on his head. He was always helpful to newcomers, he would make things as easy for young people as possible.”
