Why CM Punk Was Not Allowed To Appear On UFC Event

CM PunkWWE Officials pulled WWE Champion CM Punk from the recent UFC on FOX special with Chael Sonnen because when Punk didn't initially specify that he was going to appear on UFC TV according to PWInsider.com.

The reports claim that CM Punk asked for time off and quietly arrange the appearance to make waves and get some attention for both himself and WWE. WWE was not happy with the idea of Punk appearing on another company's program so they told him he couldn't make the television appearance. As reported last week, Punk still attended the show and was backstage.
