RAW Opener:
We start things right off with Booker T spinning the RAW roulette wheel previewing tonight’s theme, then Shawn Michaels makes his way out to the ring! He gets a huge pop when he says he tried to stay away, but he just couldn’t do it and he misses them. He wants to make it clear that he is not the guest host tonight, he just showed up, and he plugs his show and Twitter, then gets interrupted by CM Punk and Nexus.
Punk says he just couldn’t stay away because he has an addictive personality, and it will make Punk happy when he leaves on July 17th. HBK says it is a win win because no one has to listen him, and Punk says he will get what he wants, and he will leave a winner, unlike HBK. He says he will leave as WWE Champion, and he has no doubt he will win because he already beat Cena two weeks ago. He is leaving because of the fans, and he thinks it is sad that they will cheer the past to come back, and not beg the future to stick around. HBK tells him the fans cheer him because they know he is better than Punk, and Punk corrects him and says he was better than him. Punk says it’s not true anymore, and HBK says they have similarities but they are nothing alike, and superkicks Otunga’s head off! Punk checks on him and says he just make the biggest mistake of his life, then a GM email comes in.
The GM says leaving is Punk’s choice, and since he has three more weeks left, they are going to make them count. The GM says Punk is already in the ring so he will be in the first match of the night, and tells them to spin the wheel. Booker spins it and says the question mark means Punk has a mystery opponent, and it’s going to be Kane. HBK says good luck to him, and superkicks McGillicutty as Kane makes his way into the ring.
