Great Championship Wrestling results from the Gr8 Sk8 Plex in Phenix City, AL, on October 23, with a reported 150 in attendance: Joey Lightning pinned Ron Stalker in a match made by Princeton Gainey III to determine who would be in his corner next week; J-Rod pinned Orion Bishop, with Wicked Nemesis, to earn a match against the GCW Interstate Champion on November 6; Slaughter pinned “That 80’s Guy” John Bogie after interference from Wicked Nemesis. Johnny Swinger beat Tracy Taylor by disqualification after a low blow in a âOne-Armed Bandit” match, where Swinger’s arm was tied behind his back. GCW Heavyweight Champion Micah Taylor pinned Cru Jones. Swinger had a backstage interview stating that Bull Buchanan would not be at the show and he got Tracy Taylor to replace Buchanan by allowing the “One Armed Bandit” stipulation. Meanwhile, Quentin Michaelsâ green sparkling jacket was seen in the background, indicating he had indeed returned. Later, footage was shown of Swinger talking to Michaels earlier that day in the arena.
GCW presents the second annual âHalloween Screamâ on October 30 in Phenix City, AL, at the Gr8 Sk8 Plex. Advertised: Micah Taylor, with Tracy Taylor, defends the GCW Heavyweight Title against Johnny Swinger in a steel cage match, with Quentin Michaels at ringside. World Wrestling Alliance 4 results from October 22 in Atlanta, GA, for a free show with about 30 in attendance: Rick King defeated Miguel Rivera. Rick King defeated Jake Diamond. WWA4 Champ Reece Royale beat Bill the Butcher. Jena & Jonathan Davis beat Jae-Bo & Kaiden Knight. The return is October 29 with a main event of Rick King vs. Reece Royale in WWA 4 title match.
