Report: Major Update On Mick Foley’s Cancelled Sitcom Idea

Mick Foley’s sitcom idea, "Have a Nice Day", that is years old at this point, is now cancelled as we’ve been reporting.  The sitcom was supposed to be a loose translation of Foley’s life, but he recently pulled out of the project for the second time due to TNA, family, and other commitments.

At this point, it’s kind of a "he said, she said" situation where on one side, you have the production company citing all these big plans they already had in place for the series while Mick Foley claims he knew nothing about the majority of them.  One thing Foley claims he was unaware of was Spike’s potential interest that fell through due to them not wanting to pay a production fee.

The production company – Lost Colony Entertainment – said they had a meeting set up with ABC’s comedy division to pitch the reality show.  They also said they had Debbie Gibson, former pop star, tentavely planned to play the role of Mick Foley’s wife, but again, these are meetings and plans Foley said he knew nothing about.

Just prior to the ABC meeting, Mick Foley’s agent, Barry Bloom, gave them word that Foley was pulling out of the project.  This was the second time as he had done it once before when he got the announcing position with the WWE.

The production company was unhappy, to say the least, and a couple of them have publicly lashed out some at Mick claiming that they worked on the project at their own expense only to have him pull out twice.  Richard O’Sullivan wrote, "We let him work us. We got what we deserved."
