DOLL, Steven LyleAge 48 of Nashville, TN. March 22, 2009. Mr. Doll was a nationally known professional wrestler and the winner of 38 major national championships. His career began in 1984 when he joined Pacific Northwest Wrestling, and formed a team that became famous as the Southern Rockers. In 1993, he joined the WWF and wrestled under the name Steve Dunn. There, he teamed up with Timothy Well. Together, they were known as the tag team Well Dunn. Doll then wrestled with the WCW and the USWA before concluding his celebrated career by teaming with Reno Riggins to form the popular tag team known as the Volz. Steve Doll died peacefully in his sleep of complications from previous surgeries, surrounded by his family. Survived by wife, Andrea Doll; parents, Maurice & Betty Doll; sister, Jana (Sam) Betts; in-laws, Debbie Davidson (Bill) Green, and Jay & Diane West; aunts & uncles, Shirley (Frank) Henry, Irma & Marion Woods, & George & Vera Brown; and loving dogs. Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home, with Bro. Winston Wren officiating. Entombment to be held at Hermitage Memorial Mausoleums. Family & friends will serve as Pallbearers.
