Jim Ross helps out “Dr. Death” Steve Williams
Written: April 30, 2009
When the WWE Universe thinks of Jim “J.R.” Ross, many things come to mind: WWE Hall of Famer, spirited announcer on SmackDown, Restaurateur and Proprietor of J.R.’s Family Barb-B-Q Restaurants, avid Oklahoma Sooner football fan, best-selling author, Bells Palsy survivor and also, a friend to “Dr. Death” Steve Williams.
In order to help his friend Steve Williams, Jim Ross recently made a generous donation of a custom-made Resistol cowboy hat in its original box, including care instructions. Inside the brim, is the hand-signed message "Game-Worn Many Times … Jim Ross WWE HOF ‘Boomer Sooner!’"
This treasure will be raffled off to assist Steve Williams to help raise the necessary funds to buy Williams’ “Hands-free” voice device. Tickets for the raffle are available at www.WrestlersRescue.org, with a limited number of them being sold at a price of $3.00 U.S. each or 4 for $10.00. The winner of the raffle will be awarded once all tickets are sold and announced on the Wrestler’s Rescue Web site.
