The following are some excerpts from a recent Q&A session from the official website of WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:
Jim Ross on wrestling managers: “Perhaps the decision makers feel that wrestling managers are too old school and have lived out their usefulness. Plus, the manager’s pool of talent has dried up as a result of manager’s not being used.”
JR on Zack Ryder: “I think Ryder has potential and it becomes really up to him how he capitalizes on the minutes that he gets on TV and the quality of the matches he has at the live events. He’s still a work in progress and if he invests the time to continue to improve his game he should do well.”
JR on wrestling announcing: “I really miss not broadcasting as well and I appreciate your comments. Every broadcaster has their style and I always worked hard on simply being myself and not playing the role of wrestling announcer.”
