The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE is said to be unhappy with the initial batch of Tough Enough contestants expected to participate in the upcoming re-debut of the show.
The cast was NOT selected by WWE, but rather by Shed Media and The USA Network, who are producing the show. It’s being said that WWE is not happy with the amount of well-known independent wrestling stars were selected for the show, and the people who were in charge of casting have reportedly been replaced by someone who has worked closely with WWE’s Kevin Dunn in the past.
We reported yesterday that WZ contributor and former WWE star Val Venis, real name Sean Morely, noted on Twitter that Matt Cross will be one of the Tough Enough contestants.
