EVOLVE 7 Late Breaking News & Preview For Tonight’s iPPV

Tonight is it!!! EVOLVE will make its debut in Manhattan and also have its first live iPPV!!! Here’s the details:

"EVOLVE 7: Aries vs. Moxley" takes place TONIGHT at 8pm EST. at BB King Blues Club & Grill in Times Square, Manhattan, NY. BREAKING NEWS: It has been determined that there will be a Playoff Match tonight if any combination of Jimmy Jacobs, Johnny Gargano and Chuck Taylor are still tied as the Wins Leader after their matches. After all three of their matches take place, if any individuals are still tied there will be an impromptu bout added immediately to the card. This will serve as a sudden death playoff with the winner taking sole possession of the Wins Leader category.

The event will be highlighted by the final independent wrestling match of Jon Moxley, as he faces Austin Aries in a first-time-ever, one-time-only bout. This will be your chance to say "thank you and farewell" or get your first look at this future WWE superstar. Here is a quickie preview of the entire card:

The Main Event

Austin Aries (1-0) vs. Jon Moxley (1-1)

There must be a winner in this bout. This means that Moxley’s career will end with him either having a winning or losing Record. Moxley is determined to say his farewell by having the match of his life. Aries is ready for the challenge. To see how important this match is, watch these promos:

 
Spoiler Match #1

Chuck Taylor (4-2) vs. Akira Tozawa (0-0)
This will be the last of the three spoiler matches. The concept is simple. We take one of the men tied in the Wins Leader category and put them against a new debuting wrestler, who can play spoiler. This one pits two favorites of the internet wrestling community when 2010 EVOLVE MVP Chuck Taylor takes on the red hot Akira Tozawa. No hype needed here.
 
Spoiler Match #2

Jimmy Jacobs (4-2) vs. Shiima Xion (0-0)
Jacobs’ reputation speaks for itself. Shiima Xion is charismatic, athletic and hungry to increase his reputation. This one just got very personal. Just watch these videos in order to see why:

Spoiler Match #3

Johnny Gargano (4-2) vs. Jon Davis (0-0)
Gargano is making his case for most improved wrestler of 2011 already. Jon Davis is as big and strong as they come. Gargano wants to be on top of the Leader Board while Davis wants to prove his worth as a singles competitor. This is the sleeper match on this card.

 

Tag Team Challenge

Jigsaw & Frightmare (2-0) vs. Facade & Jason Gory (0-0)
The tag team scene in EVOLVE will get a breath of fresh air as Jigsaw & Frightmare now represent CHIKARA Sekigun. They’ll be faced by the new duo of Facade & Jason Gory, who have made their reputation in the midwest. This one will feature high-flying and cutting-edge tag wrestling. You are sure to witness something you’ve never seen before in this one. International Challenge Match

Sami Callihan (2-1) vs. Zack Sabre Jr. (0-0)
Sabre Jr. has received standing ovations in recent weeks at both CZW and CHIKARA events. The European has quickly won over fans for his technical skills and kicking prowess. Callihan is becoming the breakout star of 2011. Both need a win to advance in EVOLVE. This has the makings of a war.

 

Special Challenge Match #1

AR Fox (0-0) vs. Rich Swann (0-1)
These are two of the most athletic, gifted and incredible high-flyers in the business today. These two are really looking forward to this match as they want to test their skills against each other. They both need the "W" badly. This has show stealer written all over it.

 

Special Challenge Match #2

Silas Young (1-1) vs. Tony Nese (0-1)
Young is looking to get above the .500 mark while Nese needs to even up his Record. If you are talking about two people that desperately need a win, this is it.

Larry Dallas & Reby Sky Will Be In Attendance

Dallas is currently sponsoring Chuck Taylor and Johnny Gargano. He is always looking to make moves so we have no idea what he has in store for EVOLVE tonight. The beautiful Reby Sky makes any Dallas VIP Party worth attending.

Nick Paglino

Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.

Nick attended New York University and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Drama.

Nick first entered the internet wrestling community back in 2004 when he became the co-host of The Voice of Wrestling Radio Show. From there, Nick made the transition from radio personality to editor when he began working with WrestleZone in 2008.

Nick is a member of two Off-Broadway theatre companies, Another Urban Riff, and the Drama Desk Award winning Godlight Theatre Company. Nick has appeared in over a dozen Off-Broadway plays since he moved to New York City, and has shot several short and feature length films. In 2010, he completed principle photography on a film titled "How to Score Your Life," which also features TNA Knockout ODB.

Inspiration in his life has come from many people including his family, Woody Allen, Steven Spielberg, Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, and of course, Lassie.
