Speculations about Kevin Owens’ WWE return are on the rise during SummerSlam weekend.
Former Universal Champion Kevin Owens has been on the sidelines since before WWE WrestleMania 41. He was gearing up to face Randy Orton at the event. However, a severe neck injury took him out of action, and he had to undergo neck fusion surgery. He kept himself busy during the time off, serving as a coach on Season 3 of WWE LFG on A&E.
After his social media post last month caused speculation about a return, recent reports indicated that Kevin Owens and Randy Orton are close to making a comeback. Fightful Select then reported earlier today that Owens was in Minneapolis ahead of SummerSlam. Social media posts also showed him messing with Dominik Mysterio at an autograph signing.
Now, Fightful Select has provided another update, revealing that Kevin Owens was training at the WWE Performance Center this week. A recent report noted Owens was set to undergo re-evaluation this summer, and news of him training at the PC could be a positive sign that fans could see him in the ring very soon.
The timing of these updates is interesting. Since he’s in Minneapolis, it will be interesting to see if Kevin Owens makes his massive return at SummerSlam tonight or tomorrow on Night Two.
