Rhea Ripley Blasts ‘Idiotic’ Critics Amidst WWE TV Absence

Rhea Ripley claps back.

As public figures, WWE Superstars are no strangers to receiving online criticism. Sometimes, though, it can go too far. This appears to have been the case for WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley as she sounded off on detractors in a Twitter/X post this week.

“There are a lot of tiny little idiotic humans on this app,” she wrote. “Literally good for nothing, know nothing, hypocritical, terrible excuses for humans…The amount of delusion is funny af [laughing emoji] Literal jokes. If this triggers you, then it’s directed at YOU. Hope this helps.”

Ripley, while active on social media, has been absent from WWE programming for over a month due to a slightly torn meniscus. As a result, WWE has ruled her out of making an in-ring appearance at the two-night SummerSlam premium live event. In turn, five women will compete in a ladder match to determine an interim WWE Women’s Champion at the August 1 and 2 PLE in Minneapolis.

So far, Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill have secured their spots in the ladder match. A qualifier between Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax will determine the third participant on WWE SmackDown, with the remaining two spots up in the air.

While sporting a knee sleeve, Ripley last wrestled at a WWE live event in Portugal on June 3. The timeline for her WWE TV return is unclear.
