WWE RAW Results:

This week’s episode of RAW kicks off with a recap of this weekend’s Night of Champions premium live event. Live in the arena, Rhea Ripley makes her way to the ring to speak to the WWE Universe.

Rhea Ripley says that with The Judgment Day hopefully behind her, she wonders what’s next for her. Ripley says that with Evolution 2 right around the corner, she needs to get her priorities straight. This brings out Women’s World Champion IYO SKY.

IYO SKY says you can’t have Evolution without her. SKY says Ripley isn’t on top without the Women’s World Title. SKY says Pearce has told her that she can choose who to defend the title against at Evolution next month.

IYO says she wants to defend against the best, and that means defending against Rhea Ripley. Rhea says she has nothing but respect for her, but if that’s what she wants, she will stop at nothing to get that title back. Ripley accepts the challenge, and the match is official.

Dominik Mysterio is still injured

The Judgment Day is backstage. Dominik Mysterio gives words of encouragement to Finn Balor and JD McDonagh before they leave. AJ Styles comes in to confront Mysterio, who immediately pulls out a doctor’s note to inform AJ that he’s still injured.

Mysterio informs Styles that if he touches him before he’s cleared, he’ll never get his shot at the Intercontinental Championship. Styles reads the paper and mocks Mysterio. It’s unknown how much longer Dominik will be on the shelf for.

WWE World Tag Team Titles: The New Day (c) vs. The Judgment Day

  • The finish of this match saw JD McDonagh and Finn Balor hit back-to-back top rope maneuvers on Xavier Woods. Balor scored the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: And NEW World Tag Team Champions, The Judgment Day

Grade: A-

This was a fantastic opening contest. The match was oddly booked with Balor and McDonagh as underdog babyfaces. There were several nearfalls that Balor kicked out of that made the crowd get behind The Judgment Day. It seems with Morgan out, this faction might be venturing off in a different direction. This will be an interesting story to follow in the weeks ahead.

A new top contender for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship will be decided tonight on WWE RAW

Bayley is backstage with Jackie Redmond. Bayley expresses her frustration over her recent title loss to Becky Lynch and puts the blame on Lyra Valkyria. This brings in Valkyria, and the two women argue back and forth. Adam Pearce appears to settle things and announces they will face each other later tonight, with the winner becoming the new number one contender for Lynch’s title.

A video package plays, recapping the career of WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg.

They recap last week’s segment where Penta injured Chad Gable. This was done due to a previous injury Gable’s been working through, which he now needs surgery for.

Chad Gable is backstage in a sling with American Made, telling them to keep things going while he’s away. Adam Pearce comes in and apologizes for Gable getting hurt and mockingly mentions that we likely won’t be seeing El Grande Americano anytime soon. Gable seemingly confirmed as much and told The Creed Brothers to listen to Ivy Nile while he’s away. Ludwig Kaiser can be seen in the background listening to their discussion.

The fate of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles

Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis are approached backstage by Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. Balor pitches that Raquel Rodriguez shouldn’t be stripped of the women’s tag titles due to Liv Morgan’s injury and says she can team with Roxanne Perez.

Pearce and Aldis confer and agree, with the caveat that they prove themselves as champions by defending the titles against a team from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT. Balor agrees.

Rusev vs. Sheamus

  • The finish of the match saw Rusev hit Sheamus with the Machka Kick to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Rusev

Grade: B+

There’s no doubt Big E enjoyed this match because we got a lot of big, meaty men slapping meat. These two have always worked well together in the past, and this was no exception. A fun, hard-hitting match.

Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce announce there will be a battle royal at WWE Evolution, with the winner getting a title shot at Clash in Paris.

El Grande Americano got taller…

Jackie Redmond is backstage with American Made, and Ivy Nile makes it clear she’s going to be part of that Evolution Battle Royal. They are interrupted by Ludwig Kaiser, who is now dressed up as El Grande Americano.

American Made is left stunned as Redmond tries to get a word with Sami Zayn, but he’s attacked and beaten down by Karrion Kross.

The Ring General speaks

World Heavyweight Champion Gunther makes his way to the ring. Gunther says he’s out there to talk about Bill Goldberg. Gunther says he’s impressed by Goldberg’s highlight video, calling it violent and brutal. He jokes that just like his matches, the video was summed up in three minutes.

Gunther says he’s not afraid of what’s left of Goldberg, calling him a 58-year-old man who wants to ride on his coattails. Gunther says Goldberg isn’t capable of taking the title from him, but says he’s capable of beating him in less than three minutes.

However, Gunther says he’s going to take his time with Goldberg at Saturday Night’s Main Event and embarrass him. Gunther says she’s going to bully Goldberg at Saturday Night’s Main Event, and there’s nothing he can do about it.

Gunther says that after he beats Goldberg, it will be up to him to ask who’s next for The Ring General. This brings out Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman. Gunther makes fun of Rollins for traveling all the way to Saudi Arabia and accomplishing nothing. Rollins says his goal at Night of Champions was never to cash in; it was to prevent CM Punk from ever becoming a champion again in WWE.

Seth teases a future cash-in on Gunther before CM Punk hits the ring to attack him. Rollins eventually escapes through the crowd. Punk faces off with Gunther and shoves him on his ass. LA Knight comes through the crowd behind Rollins and attacks him. They brawl in the concourse section of the arena, and Rollins eventually escapes again.

Roxxane Perez is officially a member of The Judgment Day

Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Dominik Mysterio, and Roxxane Perez are backstage celebrating how the night has gone. Raquel Rodriguez comes in upset that they are replacing Liv Morgan, insisting that she’s rehabbing and she’ll be back.

Balor says no one is replacing Liv, but he’s had a shoulder injury before, and it takes a while to get back; he just wants to make sure Rodriguez remains champion. Rodriguzed understood and Balor proposed a vote to bring Perez into the group.

Balor and McDonagh vote yes, Mysterio says he needs to talk to Liv, but Balor pushes him for an answer now, and he says yes. Rodriguez hesitates but also agrees and makes Perez a member of the group. Perez says her first mission as part of the group is to get revenge for Morgan by going after Kairi Sane for injuring her. Rodriguez basically agrees.

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship #1 Contender’s Match: Bayley vs. Lyra Vaklyria

  • The finish of the match saw a pinfall where both women’s shoulders were on the mat and counted down.

Winner: No contest

After the match, Bayley and Valkyria continued to brawl with one another, upset by the outcome of the matchup. They were eventually separated in the crowd before anyone could get seriously hurt amid the chaos.

Grade: B+

I liked the match, but hated the finish. This is obviously building to a triple-threat match with Becky Lynch at Evolution, but they could have gone about it another way.

LA Knight isn’t going to the back of the line

CM Punk is backstage with Jackie Redmond and says that he has receipts for Rollins, Heyman, Breakker, Reed, and basically anyone else who tries to get in his way. Punk sees LA Knight and goes over to him and tells him that, as far as Rollins is concerned, he can go to the back of the line. Knight says Punk can have Rollins six nights of the week, but he has the match at Night of Champions, so the line starts behind him.

Penta and Sami Zayn vs. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed (w/ Paul Heyman)

  • The finish of the match saw Bron Breakker hit Sami Zayn with a spear to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed

Grade: B+

After the match, Breakker and Reed continue their assault on Penta and Zayn until Jey Uso comes out with a steel chair, taking out both men as WWE RAW goes off the air.

WWE RAW Review:

This was overall a very eventful episode of WWE RAW tonight. We got a lot of good in-ring action and a lot of build for both Saturday Night’s Main Event and Evolution 2. Hopefully, the crowd will keep their energy for the SmackDown taping later on tonight.

Grade: B+
