Liv Morgan has officially had shoulder surgery, and will now focus on her road to recovery from a dislocated shoulder.
In a recent post on Instagram, Morgan’s physical therapist, Kevin Wilk of Champion Sports Medicine shared a photo of the pair. Morgan could be seen playfully pouting while wearing a sling. In the post, Wilk said it would be an honor working with the WWE superstar on her rehab.
The post comes a few weeks following Morgan disclocating her shoulder. Early on in her match against Kairi Sane on the June 16 episode of WWE RAW, Sane gave Morgan a simple takedown maneuver. Morgan used her arms to cushion the fall, but in doing so, she suffered a dislocated shoulder, and the match was stopped.
A report from Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp noted that Morgan will likely require surgery for the injury. While not confirmed, the report mentions Morgan will miss “a number of months.” This will also cause a “significant creative reshuffling” within the programs she was set to be in.
Typically, a dislocated shoulder can basically take anywhere between four to twelve weeks to heal. But a full recovery can take as long as six months. Liv Morgan was rumored to be in line to work with Nikki Bella at WWE Evolution next month. That match likely would have seen Morgan teaming with Raquel Rodriguez against Nikki and a tag team partner.
