And new — Giulia is the new Women’s United States Champion.
She defeated Zelina Vega for the title on WWE SmackDown in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The final moments of the match saw Zelina go for a Code Red. Giulia countered, hitting an Arrivederci knee lift before ending things with a Northern Lights Bomb.
Zelina Vega’s Women’s United States Championship reign ends at 63 days. She won the title from Chelsea Green, the inaugural champion, on the April 25 episode of SmackDown.
This is Giulia’s first title win on the WWE main roster. She previously held the NXT Women’s Championship for 63 days.

Giulia has one regret about getting called up
Giulia recently spoke with meraWRESTLING about being called up to the WWE main roster. She made it to SmackDown in only nine months, but she shared the one regret she had in regards to being called up so quickly.
“The overwhelming speed of it all,” Giulia said. “I already thought WWE’s pace was incredibly fast to begin with, but I’m truly surprised by this speed of moving up to the main roster in just eight or nine months. I’m like, ‘Oh no, I still haven’t properly learned English!’ So I feel like, ‘I’m sorry I haven’t learned English.’
“At first, of course, I had the feeling of ‘I want to go quickly, I want to go quickly’ but as I wrestled in WWE every single day, every single match, every single show, everything was new to me. So time just flew by in an instant until today. There’s definitely a feeling of, already? It all feels like it happened incredibly fast.”
