CM Punk is already facing backlash after arriving in Saudi Arabia.
CM Punk will compete this weekend at Night of Champions. He’s set to challenge John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship in Saudi Arabia. But after arriving, he’s already facing backlash. It’s not because of his past criticism of WWE’s partnership with Saudi Arabia, either.
Rather, people are upset because CM Punk was spotted brushing off a young fan who tried to take a selfie with him.
Why are people upset with CM Punk now?
The incident took place when CM Punk arrived at a venue in Saudi Arabia alongside Randy Orton. As they walked through the venue, a young fan holding a phone approached Punk, likely hoping to take a photo. Instead of stopping, Punk used his hand to gently back the kid away and continued walking with Orton and a security guard.
The hasn’t gone down well with fans, many of whom are criticizing Punk for his actions. One fan said, “He really just pushed the kid? Keep him over there!” Another added, “Why would he push that kid like that?” Others called his actions “Wow, what a di*k,” and “Horrible behavior.”
Even former WWE Superstar and current MLW Champion Matt Riddle has reacted to this incident. However, most replies to him were fans telling him to worry about himself and reminding him of his own past behavior.
