Grade: B

Save for an almost dangerous spot during a series of counters, this was a good match. Briggs always shows up in big spots, and Williams plays to his competition (for better or worse). Having Hendry as the number one contender may mean the end of Williams’ TNA title reign. This writer was holding out hope that it would be Santana who eventually toppled Williams, but let’s see how this goes. What do you all think happens next with the TNA Championship? Tell us in the comments below!

Earlier today, it was revealed that Charlie Dempsey injured Tavion Heights during training. Heights thinks Dempsey did it on purpose, but Dempsey plays coy. Heights says it doesn’t matter; he will wear a protective mask for his match against Je’Von Evans tonight.

Je’Von Evans vs. Tavion Heights w/NQCC

Heights takes Evans down and works a few submission attempts. Evans sends Heights flying with a slingshot rana. Heights rolls out. Evans lands a dive. After the break, Heights cuts Evans in half in mid-air. Evans kicks out. Evans lands a rebound kick. Heights runs into a superkick from Evans. Evans hits his corkscrew splash for the win.

Winner- Je’Von Evans

After the match, Jasper Troy hits the ring and lays Evans out with a Blackhole Slam.

Grade: B-

This one was too short. Evans and Heights were cooking here tonight. Heights has been quite impressive since returning from his Japanese excursion.

Ricky Saints vs. Ashante “Thee” Adonis

Adonis tosses his jacket at Saints. Saints and Adonis trade puches. Saints walks the ropes and drops an elbow. Adonis rolls out. Saints poses in the middle of the ring. After the break, Adonis is working over Saints. DDT by Adonis. Adonis hits the Cash Out. Saints kicks out. Saints fires up and hits a Spear. Rochambeau by Saints. Saints pins Adonis.

Winner- Ricky Saints

After the match, the North American Champion Ethan Page appears on the ‘tron. As Saints is distracted, Page appears in the ring and attacks Saints from behind. Page sets up a Twisted Grin but changes his mind and drops Saints with a Rochambeau instead.

Grade: B

Solid TV match. Adonis and Saints showed a ton of fire for a semi-cold TV match. Page and Saints feud is one of the hottest on NXT.

The Ruler’s Back

NXT Champion Oba Femi says he gets restless when he doesn’t have challengers. This is your moment for any man who thinks he can stand up to the Ruler. Yoshiki Inamura answers the challenge. Inamura wants bigger and better, and Femi and the title are bigger. Femi tells Inamura that when he faces the Ruler, he will fall like everyone else. Inamura steps in Femi’s face and says he’s ready. As Inamura is walking up the ramp, Jasper Troy runs Inamura over. Troy gets up on the apron and says they aren’t finished.

Grade: C+

Winner- Jordynne Grace

Grade: C+

This one was a bit all over the place. Nothing had a moment to register as everyone was moving a mile a minute. Same issue as every multi-person match, and with the pacing issues, this one was a bit of a tough watch. Grace’s win was obvious, given the participants and who the current champion is. The NXT Women’s locker room is stacked, but at some point, they need to actually give someone else an opportunity.

This event is ongoing. This information will be updated as the event progresses.
