MJF Wishes Happy Father’s Day To His ‘Dad’

MJF took to social media to jokingly wish a Happy Father’s Day to Adam Sandler, who he’ll be appearing alongside in the upcoming Happy Gilmore 2.

In a recent post on X, MJF shared a photo of Sandler in the upcoming movie. In the caption, he simply said “Happy Father’s Day, Dad.” The joke is a reference to MJF playing the role of Gordie, one of Happy’s sons.

Happy Gilmore 2 is set to premiere on Netflix on July 25, 2025. The film will follow Happy as he’s once again looking for money, this time to put one of his daughters through ballet school. The latest trailer for the movie features several star-studded cameos from the movie, including Bad Bunny, Julie Bowen, Ben Stiller, Nikki Bella, Becky Lynch, and more.

MJF shares Adam Sandler’s reaction to his audition

During an appearance on SI Media with Jimmy Traina, MJF revealed how his role came about. After bragging about having the “it” factor, MJF said his team at Activists and CAA got him the audition, and his tape was apparently so funny that he even had star Adam Sandler laughing.

“It all starts by having ‘it,’ which is something that I have that almost nobody else in the industry has today,” MJF said. “A lot of people try to manufacture ‘it,’ with neat music or pyro or an interesting taunt or catchphrase. I was born with ‘it.’ I got the audition because I am very talented and I have a very good representatives. I’m repped by both Activists and CAA. I got the best team, easily. They got me the audition.

“This is a true story. I’m not fabricating anything or being hyperbolic. Adam Sandler himself saw my audition. He was apparently laughing like a hyena and then he said, ‘I want this guy to not audition for the other role I auditioned for originally, but I’d like him to audition for this role.’ I auditioned for that role and I got that role, which is a big role in the movie. I’m very excited for the movie to come out.”
