Two More Shocking MLW Departures

Two more top names have recently departed MLW.

Former MLW Women’s World Featherweight Champion Delmi Exo took to social media over the weekend to announce that her time with the company has come to an end, tweeting out:

“I am extremely grateful to have spent the last few years developing under Major League Wrestling. The God Queen was a concept many doubted but she has proven to be the living embodiment of what it means to bet on yourself and chase your dreams. #FreeAgent #GodQueenVersion3,” Delmi Exo said in a post.

Less than 48 hours later, former MLW World Middleweight and Tag Team Champion AKIRA took to social media to also announce his departure from the company, tweeting out:

“Officially a Free Agent. Thanks for the Memories, MLW. Open availability. USA return in July. Regular rules. Tag. Hardcore. I’m a pro wrestler. Japanese King of the Deathmatch like Cactus Jack. Only one of me. Booking: theakiraway@gmail.com Please share,” AKIRA said in a post.

Last month, we heard the company was in the process of a “roster refresh.” A new update provides some more details on the situation.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, all expected departures and releases from the company are now complete. The company’s plans to bring in bigger names in the future resulted in the current roster being shuffled.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more on MLW’s roster changes as it becomes available.
