Why has Jamie Hayter disappeared from AEW programming in recent weeks?
Last month at AEW Double or Nothing, Jamie Hayter lost in the finals of the Women’s Owen Hart Cup tournament against Mercedes Moné. A few days later on Dynamite, Hayter was taken out by the debuting Thekla, and we haven’t seen her since.
So what’s the latest on Hayter’s status with All Elite Wrestling?
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), sources have indicated to him that Hayter isn’t cleared to compete right now. Noting that if she were available, she would be booked.
While there is no timetable for Hayter’s return, the company hopes to have her back soon.
As for the injury itself, many speculate it occurred during the finish of her match with Mercedes at Double or Nothing when she accidentally DDT’d on her head while getting into a small package. Although this has yet to be confirmed.
