Mark Madden Joining TNA Commentary Team For Upcoming Event

Mark Madden is stepping back into the broadcast booth for pro wrestling again.

Madden will join the TNA broadcast team for the promotion’s upcoming event at the UPMC Events Center in Pittsburgh on Friday, June 20. Madden is a long-time Pittsburgh sports radio host who can be heard afternoons on WXDX 105.9-FM. He also has a featured column on TribLive.com. He also has a long history in the pro wrestling business, as he worked for WCW from 1993 to 2000. This includes working as a color commentator on WCW Monday Nitro, WCW Thunder, and pay-per-view events. Madden took over for the legendary Bobby “The Brain” Heenan in 2000, when he adopted his colorful Hawaiian shirt look that he still uses today.

In addition to his work in WCW, Mark Madden wrote for WCW Magazine and co-wrote Ric Flair’s best-selling autobiography, To Be The Man. He also wrote regular columns for notable pro wrestling websites like PWTorch and WrestleZone.

Who else will be at TNA’s return to Pittsburgh?

TNA will be at the UPMC Events Center on Friday and Saturday, June 20-21. This marks TNA’s first events in Pittsburgh since 2011. TNA is also advertising this as the final live event stop before Slammiversary. The company’s “signature event” takes place on Sunday, July 20, in New York.

WWE Superstar Trick Williams, who is also the current TNA World Champion, will be in Pittsburgh. The Hardys, Joe Hendry, Steve Maclin, Moose, Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, Nic Nemeth, Mustafa Ali, Eric Young, Tessa Blanchard, Masha Slamovich and Rosemary are also advertised.
