Will Private Party be the next stars to jump from AEW to WWE?
It was reported yesterday in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the contracts of Private Party would be expiring “very soon.” While we anticipated interest from multiple companies if the former AEW World Tag Team Champions became available, we now have a report that seemingly confirms it.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), WWE has “preliminary interest” in Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen. It’s unknown if they’ve been approached by WWE since reports of their contracts expiring have come out.
Sapp also confirms the Observer’s report that Kassidy and Quen’s contracts are up “sooner than later.” It’s unknown if AEW has any plans to add injury time to their deals or if they’ve approached the duo regarding new contracts.
Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen haven’t been seen on television since dropping the titles to The Hurt Syndicate on the January 22 episode of Dynamite.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more on Private Party’s status as it becomes available.
