Brian Cage has shared an update on a major knee surgery.
AEW star Brian Cage took to Instagram to reveal he underwent knee replacement surgery to treat “excessive knee pain” he had been dealing with for years. However, he’s made a quick recovery, as he’s already back in the gym.
“4 days post knee replacement (8 weeks post quad tendon repair) and I’m already back in the gym @projectwellbeingllc,” Cage wrote, which features clips of him pumping iron on the road to recovery. “Love me, hate me, or somewhere in-between, you can’t deny I’m a fucking machine!”
Brian Cage wanted to hold off the surgery till after AEW All In
Cage wrote that he intended to hold off the surgery till after All In but but decided to go under the knife after tearing his quad.
“I’ve been dealing with excessive knee pain for years and have been working through it with the intention of going under the knife after All In,” he said. “With the unfortunate set back of tearing my quad, I figured F it, let’s just get em both done. Not an easy or fun choice, but I’m gonna come back ripping heads off. Especially if this is me right now after surgery.”
Brian Cage has been out of action since March. He and Lance Archer were originally supposed to challenge for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Dynasty. However, his injury forced a change in plans. Cage last competed for AEW on March 19. The Don Callis Family defeated Powerhouse Hobbs and The Conglomeration in trios tag team action on Collision.
WrestleZone wishes Brian Cage a smooth and speedy recovery.
