WWE Advertising R-Truth With New Name

WWE is advertising R-Truth with a new name.

Truth made his shocking return to WWE at Money in the Bank. He made quick work of John Cena before disappearing into the crowd. The attack allowed Cody Rhodes to hit Cena with a Cross Rhodes for the win.

WWE already has “new” merch for R-Truth live on WWEShop.com, but they are using “Ron Killings,” which is his real name. This would support a recent report that Truth would be going by his real name moving forward.

R-Truth is also using his real name on social media, and went as Ron “The Truth” Killings in TNA.

More on R-Truth using his real name in WWE

Fightful Select provided a further update on R-Truth using his real name in what is reportedly his final WWE run. The report mentioned that Truth had expressed his intent to ditch the comedic side for a more serious run.

“We spoke to another source in WWE management about the ‘Ron Killings’ name being used. We weren’t given any guarantees about booking, but it was stated to us that Killings had indicated in the past that he wanted to have at least more of a serious run in-ring before ending his career.”

The report added: “Regarding the shirt that WWE had ready to merchandise, they’ve had for months, and Killings wore it on TV in February.”

So the shirt isn’t exactly new, but WWE calling him “Ron Killings” certainly is. Fans will have to wait to see if R-Truth appears on the Money in the Bank fallout episode of RAW (and see what name they use on TV).
