ROH Global Wars Is Returning

It looks like ROH Global Wars is finally returning.

This week’s episode of Ring Of Honor TV saw Thunder Rosa cutting a promo with her new friend, CMLL’s Persephone. The pair talked about how successful the AEW/ROH/CMLL partnership has been, and Persephone invited Thunder Rosa to come compete with her in CMLL.

During her promo, Thunder Rosa also revealed that a major ROH event is on its way back.

“Oh my God, well guess what? Since we like to be together in the ring, we’re going to be back in CMLL in Cuidad de Mexico for ROH Global Wars. So ladies and gentlemen, get ready for anyone, at any time.”

Global Wars was an annual event hosted by Ring Of Honor beginning in 2012. The first five events took place in Toronto. The 2016 event took place in Chicago, before it became a regular touring event in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

The branding was brought back for an event in Australia in February 2025 under Tony Khan’s ownership. Global Wars: Australia was part of AEW’s Grand Slam Australia tour, featuring Athena versus Alex Windsor in the main event.

No other details about the new ROH Global Wars event were revealed during this week’s broadcast. However, if it takes place in 2025, this would mark the first time multiple Global Wars event will take place in the same year since 2019, when Global Wars Espectacular visited Detroit, Chicago and Milwaukee.

Global Wars Australia is available to watch on demand on ROH HonorClub. ROH airs on HonorClub on Thursday nights. ROH’s next major event is Supercard Of Honor, which takes place on Friday, July 11 in Arlington, Texas, part of AEW All In weekend.
