The Young Bucks Are ‘A Bit Banged Up,’ Hint At When They’ll Return

The Young Bucks don’t intend on being away from AEW for too long following Double or Nothing.

All Elite Wrestling EVP Matt Jackson recently took part in a live Q&A for Never Not Jet Lagged. During the episode, Jackson spoke about how he and his brother Nick are having fun again inside the ring, noting that multiple people have mentioned it to them.

“We’ve been going really hard in the ring lately,” Matt Jackson said. “It’s been fun. It’s been a lot of fun. A few people have said to us that, man, it seems different. What’s so different? It feels like the old days with you guys. And I think that for us, we’re kind of like wrestling with love again and trying to just have as much fun as possible. And it’s just been really positive.

“I’ve been having so much fun again, and not that I wasn’t before. But I just feel like again, I’m having those similar vibes of like, 2017 ROH, 2015 PWG, 2019, 2020, 2021 AEW, I don’t know what it is. So I’ve been having a lot of fun in the ring. I know my brother has, too. I feel like we’re really clicking on all cylinders right now.”

Matt would go on to confirm the reports that he and his brother are a bit banged up from Anarchy in the Arena, but teased that they are working on something big and the Young Bucks will be back soon.

“And it’s kind of a bummer, because we’re both a little bit banged up right now, but it’s nothing crazy. We’ll be back,” Matt Jackson said. “A little bit of rest, we’ll be back. We went really hard on that last one. I mean, we’ve been going really hard for months. But yeah, the pay-per-view, it was Double or Nothing. Anarchy in the Arena, sometimes these things happen, we’ll be good. You’re not going to have to miss us for too long. I’ll just tell you that. I don’t want to give away anything, but we’re working on something big. Just wanted to give a little update.”
