Tom Segura’s appearance on WWE RAW has sparked major backlash from the fans. Many called out the hypocrisy for Segura appearing there despite him insulting wrestling fans in the past.
Segura showed up on RAW alongside fellow comedian Bert Kreischer to promote his new Netflix show, Bad Thoughts. The WWE and Netflix partnership has seen involvement from celebrities in the audience before, including Kreischer, who appeared earlier this year.
On RAW, Tom Segura was involved in a backstage segment with Bert Kreischer and The War Raiders. Cathy Kelley and Segura both acknowledged his past behavior, with Segura saying, “I’ve said some stupid things in my life.” He also mentioned having Cody Rhodes on his podcast, calling it an “eye-opener,” and added that Kreischer’s positive experience with WWE helped convince him to attend the show.
WWE and Segura didn’t directly acknowledge what “stupid thing” he said. However, the WWE Universe was quick to point out the controversy surrounding Segura’s past remarks towards fans.
What did Tom Segura say about pro wrestling fans?
During a 2020 episode of his Your Mom’s House podcast, Segura harshly criticized wrestling and insulted its fan base. He called wrestling “f*cking fake” and called the fans f*cking ret*rds.
Despite his past controversial comments, Tom Segura appeared on RAW. While WWE seemed to overlook what he said before, many fans did not. Segura had previously insulted the industry and its fans, and many are now calling out WWE for being hypocritical by featuring him. They believe WWE should be more careful about who they promote, especially when it’s someone who has disrespected the industry and used such offensive language.

Tom Segura is an asshole who thinks wrestling fans are “retards,” but is okay pandering to them to promote himself.
You’re defending a guy who thinks you’re so stupid you’ll overlook what he’s said about you ??♂️ https://t.co/vgsdefsZCJ
Catching up on #WWERaw & saw that tool Tom Segura was featured to promote some crappy project he's in. Had to look up the "negative comments" he made about #WWE in the past. Totally forgot how bad it actually was. Disgusting WWE would allow him to appear. pic.twitter.com/C32D7TNNsu
