Paul Wight Confirms AEW Status

What is Paul Wight‘s status with All Elite Wrestling?

Paul Wight signed with AEW back in 2021. While featured sparingly over the years due to needing multiple surgeries, Wight was most recently seen as an authority figure for Ring of Honor. But hasn’t been seen on AEW programming since Full Gear last November when he accompanied The Rizzler to the ring. So, what is his status with the company?

All Elite Wrestling‘s Paul Wight recently spoke with Bill Apter of Sportskeeda. When asked about his status with the company, Wight confirmed that he’s still with the company and very happy to be part of it.

“I am still with AEW, still very happy with AEW,” Paul Wight confirmed. “Very happy with Tony Khan and what he’s doing. I think there’s a lot of couch bookers out there that always have the best ideas on what should be done. [Aren’t they the worst?] They’re not the worst, because everybody’s entitled to their opinion.

“I appreciate Tony and the way he treats his talent, and the kind of liberty that Tony gives talent to discover themselves and find themselves. It’s not a cookie-cutter process in AEW. They’re not this is your ring entrance. This is how you pose. This is what you wear. AEW is very grassroots, authentic. And for me at this stage of the game, I appreciate that.”
