Ace Austin‘s time in TNA has come to an end.
Austin has been with TNA since 2019. He is a three-time TNA World Tag Team Champion and a three-time TNA X Division Champion. However, that run looks to be over, according to a recent post from Scott D’Amore.
D’Amore published a new edition of his D’Amore Drop column on Yahoo’s The Uncrowned. There, he said that Austin’s contract with TNA has ended, and he’s elected to leave the promotion. D’Amore said the split was amicable, and sees big things in Austin’s future.
“Nothing has been said publicly, but Ace Austin’s contract with TNA has come to term. Ace deciding to leave is amicable — he’s been there since he was barely out of his teens and he’s ready to step up. I signed him, and everything he’s shown since confirmed that Ace Austin becoming a massive star is, indeed, ‘inevitable,’” D’Amore wrote. “He’s ready for that next chapter. I think it is time Ace Austin goes all in on proving he’s one of the best.”
TNA, nor Austin, have commented on his departure. However, Austin did post a cryptic message on Twitter/X after news about his status broke:
