John Cena Reflects On Wrapping Up His Rivalry With Randy Orton

John Cena isn’t ready to think about retirement from WWE just yet.

Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena recently spoke with Rachel Smith of Entertainment Tonight. When asked how he’s wrapping his head around having his final wrestling match later this year, Cena gave a very heartfelt answer.

“I’ll know when I get there,” John Cena said. “Honestly, it’s so sports cliche, but I’m just climbing the hill in front of me. Today is seriously about being here for Prime Video. They’ve been awesome to me with Ricky Stanicky, and Jackpot, and now Heads of State. So I love these guys.

“We got a great relationship. And on the WWE side, we’re just taking them one at a time. We did our last one in St Louis, I had my last match with Randy Orton, and that was pretty cool to kind of put a close to that 25-year rivalry. So, as every chapter happens, it’s a different feeling for everyone.”

When asked what he thought the toughest part of retirement might be, Cena admittingly didn’t know just yet.

“There is a long way to December,” John Cena said. “I’ll tell you when I get there.”

Cena will compete this weekend on Saturday Night’s Main Event against R-Truth.
