Zelina Vega wants to be a fighting champion.
WWE Women’s United States Champion Zelina Vega recently spoke with WESH 2 News. When asked about the upcoming SummerSlam premium live event in New Jersey, Vega teased what she’d like to do at that event this August.
“Well, I mean, obviously, we all know that it’s going to be John Cena’s final SummerSlam,” Zelina Vega said. “So we’re all really excited to see how that’s going to go and just kind of see where he’s going to take it, because he’s inspired a lot of us, when it comes to his career and seeing as he’s went from the ring to Hollywood as the same as The Rock, but it’s just kind of sets all of us in this, you know, it’s bittersweet, because, like I said, he has inspired a lot of us.
“When it comes to me, I know the match I’d like to have. I don’t know what’s going to happen, obviously. But I do know that I want to be walking in with this title and walking out with it now. As far as the match goes, I mean, if Chelsea really wants to mix it up again. I’m fine with that, I love wrestling Piper Niven.
“So, you can do something like that, or even give people a chance, like a Mia Yim, like give Michin a chance too. Her and I [go] back to wrestling on the indies together, and so to have a little bit of a tiebreaker moment would be really cool.” [H/T: Fightful]
