AEW confirmed that Anarchy in the Arena would return later this month at Double or Nothing. But who will actually be involved in the match?
Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite ended in chaos with multiple men and women involved, potentially setting the stage for who would compete in the Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing. But who was actually involved at that point was unclear. Luckily, a new report shines some light on AEW’s plans for the pay-per-view.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), the current plan for the Anarchy in the Arena match will feature Swerve Strickland, Willow Nightingale, Kenny Omega, Samoa Joe, and Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Jon Moxley, Gabe Kidd, the Young Bucks, and Marina Shafir.
Sapp also stated that Katsuyori Shibata and Claudio Castagnoli could be added to their respective sides as well before we get to the event.
As for the involvement on Wednesday between Speedball Mike Bailey and Kazuchika Okada, it was implied to Sapp that these two would face off at the pay-per-view for the Continental Championship. However, it was noted that it wouldn’t be “unrealistic” to see them involved in the match later in the evening.
As for HOOK and Wheeler Yuta, Sapp reports that neither was mentioned to him. However, he believes there is nothing that would keep them from being involved if they are available.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on the AEW Double or Nothing card as it becomes available.
