WWE Evolution 2

Report: The Latest On WWE Evolution 2 Happening This Summer

It certainly appears that WWE Evolution 2 will be taking place this summer if the latest round of reports are anything to go by.

There have been persistent rumors for months that WWE would be doing the long-awaited sequel to their Evolution event that first occurred in 2018. Last week, WWE Hall of Famers The Bella Twins pretty much confirmed as such on their podcast. Despite all this, WWE has remained quiet regarding the return of this event.

In an update from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE is considering the weekend of July 12 in Atlanta for the location of Evolution 2. Not only would this be on the same weekend as Saturday Night’s Main Event, it’s also the same weekend as AEW’s biggest show of the year, All In: Texas. We’re pretty sure this isn’t being done by accident. Despite the date being so close, Johnson states that plans haven’t been finalized yet.

Despite not being finalized, it appears WWE has intentions to move forward with this event in July. As Iridian Fierro has discovered that the company is hiring for a retail location surrounding Evolution that weekend. Tweeting out the following image:

Current WWE talent haven’t been told that Evolution 2 is happening

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select) has also chimed in on today’s news on WWE Evolution 2. Noting that he’s heard the same things PWInsider has.

Additionally, Sapp reports that the idea of a second Evolution show hasn’t been brought up to any current talent on the roster. So if this event is happening, WWE is keeping their current roster in the dark about it.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on WWE Evolution 2 as it becomes available.
