A former Champion will reportedly be with WWE for many years to come.
On the SmackDown following WrestleMania 14, Zelina Vega defeated Chelsea Green to capture the Women’s United States Championship. Two days after dropping the title, Green gave a “farewell address” to WWE on social media, leading many to speculate that she would be leaving the company. A new report suggests that couldn’t be further from the truth.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), Green has signed a new multi-year deal with the company. Her original deal was initially set to expire later this year.
This is a move that will surely thrill many in the WWE Universe, as Green has become an extremely popular talent over the past year. During this run, Green has been both Women’s United States Champion and Women’s Tag Team Champion (with Sonya Deville and Piper Niven).
