Sidney Akeem and Ricochet React To Leon Slater’s Insane Bump At TNA Rebellion

Sidney Akeem and Ricochet reacted to Leon Slater’s risky dive at TNA Rebellion.

At TNA Rebellion, X-Division Champion Moose defended his title in an Ultimate X match against KC Navarro, Leon Slater, Matt Cardona, El Hijo del Vikingo, and Sidney Akeem. During the match, Leon Slater climbed the X structure and attempted a huge 450 Swanton onto his opponents below.

Unfortunately, bad positioning caused Slater to crash hard onto the floor with little protection. Sidney Akeem later explained on Twitter/X that he stayed in place to catch Slater’s dive. However, he nearly suffered a knee injury in the process.

Responding to the tweet, AEW star Ricochet praised Leon Slater for taking such a high-risk move. He also gave credit to all the wrestlers who attempted to catch him. He wrote, “As a person who’s jumped off of high stuff & not been caught 100 times- we know the risk we are taking. Leon was WAY up there haha & he is an animal for taking that risk, & those guys are brave enough to stand there & try their hardest to catch. Props to everyone involved.

“P.S. I, of course, would have done a better flip, and I would’ve caught myself perfectly,” he added, playing up on his new persona in AEW.

Leon Slater, who took a brutal fall during TNA Rebellion, reassured fans afterward on X formerly known as Twitter. He let everyone know that he was okay and thanked those who reached out to check on him. Even stars like AJ Francis and Moose shared their thoughts and praised him for his performance.

However, WWE legend Ricky Morton took to social media to express disappointment with those involved in Leon Slater‘s spot. Morton wrote, “I’m disappointed. Leon gave you his trust and body on the line for an amazing moment & all of you DROPPED him,” said Morton. “Thank God he walked away. In our business, trust is everything and his trust may never be the same.”
