Last week at the Raw after WrestleMania, fans were treated to a few surprises. That includes the NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer. She showed up and challenged the WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY to a one-on-one match. The match was made official, and the two wrestled each other the same night. But unfortunately, the match ended in a no-contest as NXT’s Roxanne Perez and Giulia showed up and attacked both IYO SKY and La Primera. Rhea Ripley rushed in to help Sky and Vaquer.
Following last week’s altercation, a match between Rhea Ripley and Roxanne Perez was made official. This is the second time both wrestlers have wrestled each other and the first time they faced each other on Monday Night Raw.
As the match progressed, The Eradicator had the upper hand. In an attempt to kill her momentum, out came Giulia. Despite the distraction, Ripley overcame the odds and was in-position to hit the Riptide. But then Giulia rushed in and took out Ripley, resulting in a disqualification. Both Perez and Giulia began attacking Ripley, but then out came IYO SKY to return the favor from last week. The NXT Superstars were forced to retreat.
With less than two weeks left for the WWE Backlash Premium Live Event, it certainly looks like both the former NXT Women’s Champions will team up together for the first time to wrestle the team of SKY and Ripley at the Backlash Premium Live Event.
This match could also be the match that could finally be the catalyst for calling up the Prodigy and the Beautiful Madness onto the main roster.
