JD McDonagh Makes Surprise Return On WWE RAW

JD McDonagh of Judgment Day made a shocking return on WWE RAW after WrestleMania 41.

McDonagh had been absent from WWE TV since January 27 after a brutal landing on RAW caused broken ribs and a punctured lung. However, PWInsider reports indicated that WWE officials were hopeful McDonagh was close to being cleared and could return by the end of April.

These reports proved accurate as McDonagh made his comeback on RAW after WrestleMania 41, assisting fellow Judgment Day member Dominik Mysterio. Mysterio had won the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41.

Shortly after winning the title, Dirty Dom had his first title defense on RAW after WrestleMania 41 against Penta El Zero Miedo. Despite distractions from Finn Balor and Carlito, Penta gained the upper hand. As he climbed to the top rope, JD McDonagh returned and pushed him off the rope.

This saw Dominik Mysterio knock Penta into position and hit a 619. He quickly followed with a Frog Splash to retain his title. As Judgment Day celebrated on the Mysterio’s first title defense alongside WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

He took to X, formerly Twitter, to express that he arrived quickly to help Mysterio for his match. He captioned the post: ‘Got here as quick as I could, guys, can we stop fighting now?”

JD McDonagh acknowledged the tension between Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor. The friction began after Mysterio pinned Balor at WrestleMania 41 to win the Intercontinental title.

Ahead of Mysterio’s match against Penta, Balor confronted him backstage on WWE RAW and later reacted to the loss stating, “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.” With McDonagh now back in the mix, it will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds.
