Seth Rollins Explains Why He’s Not A Hulk Hogan Fan: That’s Just Not The Kind Of Person I Want To Associate With

Seth Rollins explains his dislike for Hulk Hogan.

Last month, Seth Rollins noted that WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan had always been kind to him in their personal interactions. According to Rollins, though, that doesn’t necessarily make him a generally good person, as he’s “run into some issues” in recent years. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion has since expanded on his comments in an interview with Outta Pocket, furthering explaining why he doesn’t want to associate with Hogan nowadays.

“He’s always been personally good to me, but I’m not stupid,” Rollins said. “I see everything that’s out there. He’s someone who is a victim of his own ego a little bit. He just doesn’t see, he doesn’t understand how what he does affects people around him. I think he just lives in this space that he’s created for himself. He shaped his worldview, and he’s just this is how he’s going to see things. And I think if you’re going to be like that, people are going to treat you accordingly.

Seth Rollins Stands By His Personal Beliefs

“I don’t know what to tell you. It’s just like any other relationship: if you are not a good person and it’s in your moral ethic to not treat everyone with the same respect, regardless of what they do or where they come from or the color of their skin, I got no time for you,” Rollins continued, referencing the racist comments made by Hogan in an audio recording leaked in 2015.

“Whether he hasn’t changed his personal beliefs or he hasn’t taken the time to honestly make amends for some of the things he’s said and done, but you put those two things together, you kind of have dug your own grave, man. And if you don’t feel like you want to make that progress in your life with the people around you, then that’s just not the kind of person I want to associate with. That’s how it is.”

According to Hogan, the comments, which resulted in his temporary removal from the WWE Hall of Famer, were a “speed bump” in his career, as he believed his words were not indicative of who he was. Many, like Rollins, seemingly still aren’t convinced that is the case.
